2014 recap, and what’s ahead in 2015

If I had to sum up 2014 in one word, it would be WOW.

But since I can sum it up in more than one word, here’s the elongated version.

2014 has been a great one for me.  It was the first year where I wasn’t a full time band member for any particular band(s).  With over 50 gigs, too many private lessons to count, an offer to be the drummer on a national broadway tour, and my first year as a clinician (one of them for the President’s arts and humanities committee) I think it’s safe to say 2014 was a great year for me as a musician, and educator.  I also had the honor of becoming a new member of Vic Firth and Remo’s artist rosters!

I’m very excited to see what 2015 brings.  First gig of 2015 will be January 2nd in Atlantic City with Nicole Tranquillo, and additional dates are already posted on the Dates page. I’ll also be out in Los Angeles Jan 16 – 21st, and Anaheim Jan 22nd – 26th for the NAMM show.  Looking forward to meeting up with friends both old and new.

There’s more news on the horizon – but I’ll save that for another post.

Hope everyone has had a happy and successful 2014.  See you in 2015!
