New Chapter…

Hello Everyone!
A lot has happened since the last news update, and I feel it’s now a good time to update everyone on what’s been happening.

I’ve recently been given the opportunity to be the percussion instructor for Villanova University! This is a great step forward in my teaching career, and I have a blast teaching the students. Right now we’re in football season, which means it’s drumline season, so if you’re in the Villanova area come out to a home football game and say hi!

Now for the bad news – I have made the decision to leave Modern Suits. The past 3 years have been amazing – filled with 2 EPs, a ton of shows, radio support and airplay, press reviews/articles, and more. Although it has been great, it was time for me to move on and focus on my career as an individual musician/educator – plus it would not be fair to the rest of the guys in Modern Suits to have a drummer that can no longer fully commit.  My final show with the group was Friday the 13th at the TLA (picture above is the crowd flipping me off after they made the announcement).  Everything has ended on good terms, and I wish Keith, Adam, Stu, and Mikal the best on their journey.  I have told the group that I would help out with finishing the music currently being written, and would be willing to play shows until they find a replacement if needed.

Besides the jazz trio, I have no idea what the future holds for me as a performer, but I can say that I am excited to see what it brings.
