The snare model everyone hears when they say “vintage snare” – the 1968 Ludwig Jazz Festival Vintage Snare. This is an 8 lug, mahogany/poplar/mahogany shell with white interior. Hardware is all original nickel. Only 1 extra hole drilled by original owner for aftermarket butt plate, but it does not effect the playability of the drum or current era-appropriate butt plate. Original owner also “stretched out the top hole of the throw-off, but again it does not effect the playability of the drum or current era-appropriate throw off. Drum has been outfitted with new german snare wires, Remo Coated Ambassador X and Remo Ambassador Snare Side drum heads.
